Done as a project at Nottingham Trent University's 2025 pre-college program (Costume Design and Production for Film and TV) taught by Jade Armstrong.

For this class we were given a script and told to make a garment for the character assigned. I got a script from 12 Years a Slave. With the script we had to analyze it and consider what happens in the script, historical contexts, and what story it tells. 

To make the garment, we flat patterned, dyed, weathered, and added blood all under instructions. We used things that professionals in the industry use; like vaseline and dirt to create sweat effects and varius types of fake bloods to make it look slightly realistic.
